His new book won’t be out until November, but is should be his magnum opus on the topic: N. T. Wright, Paul and the Faithfulness of God, 2 vols. Fortress, 2013. ISBN-13: 978-0800626839 I suspect they will have copies available at SBL, and I hope to get one there. N. T. Wright’s reading of Paul is very compatible with LDS understandings, but often gives Evangelicals fits. Read more

There is a lot of talk among Mormon scholars about bracketing truth claims regarding the historicity of the Book of Mormon. This immediately leads to the question: why would one want to bracket truth claims? The answer is generally that we can understand a particular part of Mormonism better by bracketing truth claims about other parts of Mormonism.
