Ridley College Creates Program in the Eastern Mediterranean

Ridley College Creates Program in the Eastern Mediterranean June 10, 2015

Spend a 10-week semester in Ridley’s Eastern Mediterranean Program based in the resort city of Antalya Turkey including a study tour of Israel and archaeological field trips throughout Turkey.

In a very exciting development for Ridley College, we have established an off-shore campus on the coast of Turkey on the Mediterranean coast in the city of Antalya.

Ridley College has developed a partnership with the Asia Minor Research Center in Antalya Turkey to offer a very special study program in Semester 1, 2016. Living in the Old Quarter of this ancient city you can study biblical archaeology, the Book of Revelation, take a study tour of Israel, and undertake cross-cultural field education at the St. Paul Cultural Center. Students do not need to take all the available modules. Each of the subjects may be taken for credit as part of an BTh or MDiv that is accredited by the Australian College of Theology.

The Church – the St Paul Cultural Center (SPCC) is amazing. Still in the Old City, the classes will be held here each morning for Revelation and Archaeology. The facility has a café, lounge area and lovely courtyard, with the auditorium upstairs (seating about 80). The café is a ministry, and makes great snacks, meals and coffees. It is even in Lonely Planet. They are keen for our students to have lunch there and hang out after class.  The lounge is lovely and makes a great study area. It has wi-fi. People connected with the church are coming and going all the time and it is a wonderful ministry hub. They have some interns from the US, one of whom will act as a host. The facility is one minute from the B & B where students will likely be housed. Just perfect.
