Simon Gathercole’s Lecture on the Gospel of Peter

Simon Gathercole’s Lecture on the Gospel of Peter March 23, 2019

Dr. Simon Gathercole (Cambridge University) delivered the Lagrange Lecture at the École biblique et archéologique française de Jérusalem last year on “The Death and Resurrection of Jesus in the Gospel of Peter”. Gathercole explores how the Gospel of Peter takes the traditions in the canonical gospels, and rearranges them, in part in order to blame “the Jews”.
