He’s Just Not That Into You – Movie Review

He’s Just Not That Into You – Movie Review June 12, 2009

HesJustNotThatIntoYou Eh.  Didn’t love it.  (Finally, a movie review I didn’t love, huh?)  Well, it says alot because I love romantic comedies & I’m fairly easy to please.

Too many characters & I didn’t get to know any of them.  The one that I did find myself caring about at all (played by Ginnifer Goodwin) wasn’t believable.  C’mon, could she really be that desperate for a date?

I was offended by the advice given and message sent out which seemed to say something along the lines of, “it doesn’t matter who you hurt or what marriage you destroy search for your own happiness.”  Bleh.  How annoying & plain old stupid.  Tell me, who on earth has that advice worked for?

And who was I cheering on?  The affair, the guy trying to get laid or the one who won’t commit?  There was nothing to hope for in this movie.  I cared about no one.

Sure, they did give a realistic view of how women sometimes sabotage each other trying to make ourselves feel better about our bad situations with men, but it was all ruined by all the endless compromises of this flick.

I was just annoyed.  A true test of a good romantic comedy to me is: when do I want to see it again?  When it comes to this flick the answer is: Never!

Grade: C

Recommend: Only if you have nothing else better to do.
