So, the average woman doing around the clock breastfeeding may have an estimated 90-100 hours of nursing in the first 6-8 weeks of a newborn’s life.
I’ve all ready decided I’m going to up my blockbuster subscription to 3-DVD’s-at-a-time for the month of October & November, since when I was nursing my first-born, Ransom I had no options but to re-watch old movies & I got really bored, really quick.
It became pretty obvious that it was too difficult to sleep while nursing, I couldn’t read in the middle of the night & just sitting there staring at the baby was seriously boring. I still remember the elation I felt when my friend Joy let me borrow Seasons 1-3 of Seinfeld. Suddenly, breast feeding went by quick & without focus on the excruciating pain. 🙂
So, I’m thinking once the baby #2 is born I’m going to go for a T.V. series as opposed to a random sampling of movies.
Here’s what I’m thinking of all the shows I’ve never seen before: How would you rate my options? I’ll probably only be able to pick 1-2 of these so which would you do?
1. Finish season 5 of “The Office” ~ I stopped 1/2 way through the season last year.
2. Curb Your Enthusiam (starting with season 1) – the nice thing about option #1-2 is they are each only 20 minutes as opposed to the 40 minutes of my other options.
3. Grey’s Anatomy (starting with season 1)
4. Re-watch LOST starting over with season 1 (I am fully caught up with this series from beginning until now)
OR
5. The West Wing (starting with season 1)
So, if you had a lot of TV time coming up what would you watch? Any other suggestions for me that I may not have thought of? (Keep in mind we don’t have cable & don’t have a digital converter box, so we only get 1 single T.V. station: “WGN.” So, we can all safely rule out the fact that I’ll be up all night watching infomercials!
(Also, don’t suggest anything scary, i.e. I can’t do “24,” or anything to realistic like “The Wire,” or anything to sci-fi like “Battlestar Gallactica.”
What about good long book series. Any suggestions? I’m sure I’ll be able to read at least 3 hours a day during the day.
Woohoo! Hurrah for getting to spend at least 2-3 weeks engrossed in a really good series in the middle of the night! 🙂
