Seven Pounds: Movie Review

Seven Pounds: Movie Review

images-1 This flick along with “Rachel Getting Married,” & “Milk” (review to come soon) are 3 of the most enjoyably sobering movies I’ve seen lately.

Because of the nature of this movie I don’t want to give away much more of the plot than the jacket cover does which states, something along the lines of: a man who is about to commit suicide accidentally falls in love.  That’s all I knew & thats all you should know if you choose to rent it (& you should!)

Will Smith – I mean -for crying out loud- is there anything this man can’t do?  He gave a beautiful performance alongside Rosario Dawson who I usually don’t like at all.  This may strike you as particularly hillarious but I kept thinking “dang I wish I had got that role.”  Do I act?  No.  But sometimes I wish I did.  And sometimes I wish I could co-star with Will Smith. 🙂

Anyway, needless to say, I loved the movie.  I watched it alone, in my dark cold basement with a single candle burning & cried myself into a frenzy.  (Although as I’ve mentioned before, due to pregnancy that’s not exactly hard to do).

My Recommendation: High.

Grade: A  (After I watched it, I went on Rotten Tomatoes to check it out & it got pretty shady reviews.  I do not understand this!  Anyway, who are you going to trust? Me or a bunch of stuffy underpaid critics?)
