The 5 Strangest Things People Buy

If you travel at all, you’ve probably seen the Sky Mall magazine tucked away in the seatback pocket in front of you.  I always get a kick out of watching people read these magazines and thought I’d pick one up on my flight a few weeks ago.

I couldn’t believe the crazy things in this magazine; it’s like an impulsive spender’s dream catalog!  Some of the stuff in the Sky Mall was so strange that I had to share it with you.  Hopefully you get as good of a laugh as I did!

The Weed Wacking Golf Driver

I like golf as much as the next guy, but seriously… If you had to trim your yard with this goofy thing, it would take days, not to mention an extremely sore back afterwards!

Big Foot Garden Yetti Statue

Who does this?  Why on earth would I want a statue of big foot in my yard?  I would rather spend $115 on just about anything other than a statue of big foot.

Maybe I’m wrong… Is there a hidden market for big foot statues?  Please, someone tell me if I’m out of the loop on this one.

The Ceramic Pet Fountain

Fluffy does not need a fountain.  She’s perfectly (almost wrote purrrfectly) happy with her water bowl.  But, again, maybe I don’t understand the whole ‘crazy cat lady’ culture – another market that may be underserved. :)

Wow.  I’ve heard that people spend an obscene amount of money on their pets…and I kind of see how that can happen…  Who’s your puppy daddy?

The Ultimate Cat Spaceship

Actually, they say this is a self-cleaning litter box.  Sure…  It’s a spaceship and you know it.  I think this is phase II of NASA’s space shuttle operation.
