Faith_and_ChelsenAt the Institute on Religion and Democracy (IRD) since 1993, Faith McDonnell directs the Religious Liberty Program and the Church Alliance for a New Sudan. She writes and speaks on the subject of the persecuted church and the threat of political Islam, working to change U.S. policy on, and American Christian culture towards, the Persecuted Church. She is the author, with Grace Akallo, of Girl Soldier: A Story of Hope for Northern Uganda’s Children, Chosen Books, 2007. She has a daughter Fiona, and loves Ethiopian coffee, Rend Collective, detective and spy novels, and demonstrating at the Embassy of Sudan and The White House.
