About

John San Nicolas is an undergraduate student majoring in Religious Studies and Philosophy at the University of New Mexico. As an aspiring scholar, John works to address and confront the problems, large or small, that Christians encounter in their everyday political lives. John is currently working on his honors thesis which analyzes how US megachurch pastors preach on Christian political identity, America’s relationship with God, and non-Christian others.

John’s topics of interest include democratic pluralism, political theology, decolonial theology, World Christianity, affect theory, and ecumenism.
