John San Nicolas is an undergraduate student majoring in Religious Studies and Philosophy at the University of New Mexico. As a scholar, John works to address and confront the problems, large or small, that Christians encounter in their everyday lives. John is engaged in independent research surrounding the intersection of Christianity and politics in the American context and focuses on how evangelicals, in particular, can approach politics collaboratively with their civic neighbors.

John’s topics of interest include democratic politics, political pluralism, political theology, decolonial theology, World Christianity, affect theory, and ecumenism.
