Watch and Pray
Ready Hearts Await the Return of Christ when believers watch and pray daily. Next, Jesus warns, “Watch therefore,” because no one knows His coming hour. Also, prayer helps us confess sin and receive forgiveness quickly. Therefore, a student can pray before school and ask God for courage. Then, that student can honor marriage by respecting God’s plan for families. Finally, prayer helps believers think wisely about eternity and the afterlife.
Stay Close to Jesus
To begin, Jesus wants His people to stay close every day. Then, He says, “He who abides in Me” bears much fruit. Also, abiding means trusting Jesus, obeying Him, and listening to His Word. For example, a family can read one Gospel chapter after dinner. Next, they can practice forgiveness after arguments and speak with gentle words. As a result, their marriage, home, and afterlife hope can honor Christ.
Know God’s Word
Furthermore, God’s Word protects believers from fear and false teaching. Likewise, Scripture says, “Your word is a lamp” for our path. Moreover, the Bible gives clear light when the world feels dark. For example, a teen can memorize verses about courage and truth. Then, Scripture can teach forgiveness, marriage faithfulness, and afterlife hope. Consequently, God’s Word can guide hard choices during confusing end-time events.
Live Holy Lives
Meanwhile, God calls His people to choose holy actions. Besides, He says, “Be holy,” because He is holy. Still, holiness means choosing God’s way over selfish habits. For example, someone can turn off a harmful video or song. Next, that person can choose forgiveness instead of anger and revenge. Then, that person can respect marriage and trust God about the afterlife.
Love and Serve Others
In addition, end-time faith should produce strong love and service. Similarly, Jesus says, “By this all will know” His disciples. Also, love shows the world that we truly follow Him. For example, a church group can feed hungry neighbors during hard times. Next, they can teach forgiveness through patient words and helpful actions. Thus, they can support marriage, families, and afterlife hope during fearful days.
Stand Firm with Hope
However, believers should not live in panic or despair. Instead, Scripture calls Christ’s return “the blessed hope.” Therefore, Christians can wait with courage, joy, and steady faith. For example, a believer can encourage worried friends with God’s promises. Also, hope helps people choose forgiveness over bitterness and fear. Indeed, hope strengthens marriage and points hearts toward the afterlife with Christ.
Ready Hearts Await Christ’s Return
Finally, ready hearts await the return of Christ when believers love Jesus until He comes. Likewise, John prays, “Even so, come,” as he waits for Jesus. Also, God wants faithful hearts, not fearful hearts. For example, we can pray, obey, serve, and hope each day. Then, we can practice forgiveness and honor marriage with steady faith. Therefore, spiritual preparation starts now and continues into the afterlife with Jesus.
