Here’s a recent post and response about Donald Trump:

Last week when I posted about the godlessness and immorality of Donald Trump, someone responded by questioning the faith of President Obama.

Here’s an example of honest, thoughtful, Christian introspection, something that Trump is clearly, obviously, not capable of.

Where is Christianity in the U.S. when some Christians believe that Trump is a Christian while Obama is not?

There is a core, moral decay in Christianity in America. Trump is the symptom, not the disease.

“You know my faith is one that admits some doubt, that says that I believe in Jesus Christ and I believe in God, but I also recognize that part of my job as a Christian is to recognize that I may not always be right, that God doesn’t speak to me alone, and that the only way that I could live effectively with people who have different beliefs and different faiths is if we have a civil society that is, in fact, civil.” ~ Barack Obama

Faith on the Fringe: The way this post is started is not in a Christian manner, You stated that your original post was about your thoughts and opinions about Donald Trump who’s thoughts and opinions may be different then your so you may disagree with someone but it is not our place to judge another because you don’t know what’s in that person’s mind and heart, If someone kills someone and years later gives their life to God they have the right to Heaven as much as you do. So Judge not less you be Judged!

After sharing this, the poster blocked Faith on the Fringe for reasons unknown to me. Since he’s unable to see my brief response, I’m sharing it here:

Your hypothetical example of transformation applies to me.

I was baptized as a Christian at age 36, on June 17, 2003.

Six years later, at age 42, I earned my Master of Divinity degree. I’ve been pastoring my current church for four years.

I know personally God’s transformative power and preach about it every week.

It is exactly our place to tell fellow Christians when they are making a mistake. (Which is why you feel comfortable offering me your suggestion.)

But Jesus doesn’t tell us not to judge, he warns us that we will be judged by the same standard we judge others.

How are we judged? With the Bible and the words, life and teachings of Jesus.

Trump is a lifelong liar and conman who is conning Christians into supporting him. He has no understanding of Christianity and zero knowledge of the transformative power of God.

Jesus tells us our words demonstrate what’s in our hearts.

What’s in Trump’s heart?

Faith, hope, love and other blessings from God? Not at all. Trump can’t speak without lies pouring out of his lying heart.

Trump is incapable of speaking the truth. He is so morally bankrupt that he can’t stand in court, swear on a Bible, and testify in his own defense without committing perjury.

Do you know he was held in contempt nearly a dozen times during his E. Jean Carroll trial, because he couldn’t control himself?

Judge Juan Merchan said Trump’s “continued violations of this court’s lawful order threaten to interfere with the administration of justice in constant attacks which constitute a direct attack on the rule of law.”

You know Trump stole from a charity and is banned from serving on a charity board in New York?

His whole career has been lying and stealing from everyone he ever did business with. Trump’s handshake means nothing. His word means nothing. Trump is a liar and a cheat.

This isn’t the behavior of a Christian, much less a person with dignity, self-awareness or morality.

Imagine a church board member with exactly Trump’s behavior. Would you give him your church checkbook or trust him to count the collection plate each week?

Scripture says nothing good comes from evil, and Trump says and does evil things because he is evil.

Trump hasn’t transformed, hasn’t found Jesus, and certainly has never read a Bible.

Meanwhile, he leads Christians astray on behalf of other godless and immoral men, promising them tax cuts, deregulation, and who knows what from the Top Secret files he illegally retained and hide in his bathroom.

The Lord will judge both the quick and the dead, and history will judge how American Christians responded to the most immoral and ungodly person ever to run for national office.

Do Christians do what Jesus tells us, and put evil behind us, or do we find an unbiblical reason to support the immorality of Trump?

Do we do what Jesus says or do we choose Trump?

There is nothing, nothing, in the Bible to defend supporting Trump.

If you think an immoral, godless felon with indictments in multiple states represents the lesson of Jesus, you’re out of your mind.
