About

Guide for the Distressed is a blog that aims to discuss the difficult questions of modern Jewish life from an Orthodox perspective.  If there are a lot of things that bother you about Judaism in the modern world, or you don’t even know what “being Jewish” is supposed to mean, you’ve come to the right place.  Whether your concerns are theological, social, or philosophical, I hope to discuss them here.

A bit about me: I earned both my BA and MA in Philosophy, from Swarthmore College and Brandeis University, respectively.  I did a brief stint in political journalism before deciding I preferred being honest.
