“Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings.” -Hebrews 11:22
Drawing near to God does not happen automatically. It takes effort.
The author of Hebrews mentions two traits important in this pursuit. First, drawing near to God requires a sincere heart. We can’t fake closeness with God. It must be real.
Second, we draw near to God with what is called “full assurance.” This is a bold confidence that God desires us to seek him and to walk near him. While we revere God as holy, we also approach him knowing he will not reject those who truly long to walk in his presence.
Don’t just settle for discussing or debating God; draw near to him.
