no other refuge | Women’s History Month March 24, 2022

No other refuge can offer strength. In fact, no refuge other than God actually takes away strength. God can help in whatever; per se and ways and means of struggling anpersand refocusing on a telos, whether in some collective or individual pursuit; &c.

Results of Refuge

i. remaining at a distance or allowing God to be the true gentleman at the door

The first commandment is to have no other gods before the Lord. Ex xx.3

[Thou shalt have no other gods before me. KJV, American Bible Society, New York]

With the wrong refuge, peoples are put out from before God, which creates distance, or a sense of being apart from Him.

ii. there is no hope for those who turn away from the Word unless we plum the depths of an advanced English literature chorus

Satan is a false comforter. He tells us we can receive comfort from somewhere, someone, or something other than God. However, when we listen to him, we find only disappointment and hopelessness.

iii. some do not have an expectation for that as a sin, perhaps a digression in St. James’ writing (alarming, controversial)

The wrong refuge will take over in life and become a prison. If somebody chooses pornography, gambling, drugs, alcohol, or something else as a refuge, there will be a digression to destruction each day.

So what are the results of choosing the right refuge?

iv. don’t be a debbie downer or a charlie brown, and don’t play the age card

No other refuge can offer strength. In fact, no refuge other than God actually takes away strength. God can help in whatever; per se and ways and means of struggling ampersand refocusing on a telos, whether in some collective or individual pursuit; &c.

v. if we’re going to help with this song, our names better be all over it, all eyes on us

Psalm xlvi.1 says God is always ready to help in times of trouble.

[God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (KJV ABS NY). About the mention of the key in the video, St. Jude – perhaps the 1/2 brother of our Lord or Thadddeus – is considered the patron of lost causes, lost souls, and cops. Please be respectful, because my readership includes various faith tribes and some readers in other countries eclipsing the size of readers in states in America. However, I have to remove myself from the equation for the moment, because the Primitive Church recognizes St. Jude before the schism. Is this is a question for those who know Greek or Aramaic, the language of our Lord? Augustine didn’t even read or speak Greek.]

Believers have the Holy Spirit living inside. He is with us wherever, and He wants to help us.

vi. maybe it’s time to live inside His refuge

God created us to live inside His refuge where there is no fear. He is our Friend and our Redeemer. God loves us even per se and even if the wrong path is pursued; in repentance forgiveness is applied; beyond that His perfect love expels all fear (i Jn iv.18), et cetera.

[There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. KJV ABS NY]
