Less Gunshots, More Hits at the Fair

It’s Fair Week in Lynden. Given the beefed up security and the fact that any known Mexican gang-bangers and wannabes in Whatcom County are being turned away, I think it’s safe to predict that this year we’ll avoid gunfire.

Another nice addition this year is an act called the Gothard Sisters. Your diarist is scheduled to interview them early this afternoon, though the questions aren’t exactly writing themselves. Here’s a clip of the girls in action, dancing and wailing on those hand-held Irish drums. Maybe they can show me how to do that.
