Faith Grade System

“The law, then, was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith. But since that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,” (Galatians 3:24–25, HCSB)

The Law came to us via Moses to teach us as tutor or teacher about Christ. The Law was an instructor. It taught people that they could not ultimately obey all the law. The Law taught everyone that they needed a Savior. So Jesus came and we were ultimately justified by faith.

With both the New and the Old Testament, a person has everything they need to learn about Christ. So getting to know Christ and following Him is list a series of tests. Ultimately we will be graded by how we lived out our faith. Christians are not only justified by faith, they also are called to live by faith:

“…But the righteous one will live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4, HCSB)

So how does God grade us? Below is God’s faith grade system:

F

We all fail if we fake it in life. We all fail if we live on our own without God. We will fail the final test in life . Our sin keeps giving us F’s in this life.

D

When we do good works, that isn’t enough. There are no D’s in Heaven.

C

We become Christians when call on Christ. This will give us a passing grade. We change from making F’s in life by our own effort and we learn from the greatest Teacher who helps us pass.

B

We make the effort to be baptized, and become an active member of a local church

A

We learn to apply our faith. We learn to act with faith, hope, and love.
