Caravans of camels will cover your land —

young camels of Midian and Ephah—

all of them will come from Sheba.

They will carry gold and frankincense

and proclaim the praises of the Lord.

(Isaiah 60:6)

Today is Three Kings Day. There were many people who came to see the baby Jesus. This verse prophecies that event. They came with gold, frankincense and myrrh. Two of those elements were prophecies hundreds of years before Jesus was born. The prophecy also describes the region from where the caravans came. Midian, Ephah, Sheba. They came from the east.

While it is amazing that these verses were so precise in their prophetic account, the emphasis is not on the material gifts. The emphasis was on the worship of these wise men.

Application. Advisors to kings came to worship at the foot of the King of Kings. God desires that I worship Jesus with whatever I bring to Him.

Prayer: God, I want to praise you. I want to worship Your Son with whatever caravan of praise you will receive from me.
