What Makes Me A Sinner

Psalm 53:1-6

What makes me a sinner? According to this psalm, we have a variety of characteristics that define a sinner. These include the following:

1. A sinner is a fool (Psalm 53:1)

2. A sinner denies the existence of God (Psalm 53:1)

3. A sinner does no good work (Psalm 53:1)

4. A sinner turns away from God (Psalm 53:3)

5. A sinner sucks the life out of other people (Psalm 53:4)

6. A sinner gets rejected by God unless they turn to Him (Psalm 53:5)

7. A sinner can only be made acceptable by Jesus’ death on the cross (Psalm 53:6)

Even though these qualities make me a sinner, I am still able to be accepted by God because of Jesus and His work on the cross. If I would come to Jesus, He will make me acceptable to God.

Prayer: God, thank You that You have made me Your son. I am still a sinner, but saved by grace.
