The Earth Healing Ritual from Gorsedd 2009

I’m headed back to California at the end of the month for the House of Danu’s second Druid Gorsedd. I considered not going due to finances – registration is actually a little cheaper this year, but air fare is almost double. Still, this was such a wonderful experience… I have to go back.

I’m particularly interested in the emphasis on ecstatic ritual. The rituals I compose and lead tend to be deep and introspective. Though I have led a couple of more light-hearted circles, I’ve never tried to create an ecstatic ritual. I think that’s because I don’t like giving up control…

But this should be a chance to see it done and experience it first-hand – hopefully I’ll learn a few things I can bring back to our CUUPS group. Plus it’s a chance to meet up with some of the wonderful folks I met last year, and to spend a weekend at Pema Osel Ling, one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.

And after everything that’s gone on (particularly at work) over the last year, I NEED a retreat!
