At the opening of last night’s (May 1) “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on ABC, the host gave an emotional opening monologue that spoke about the heart surgery his infant son, Billy, had to have shortly after birth in Los Angeles. Also on May 1, Catholic comedian Jim Gaffigan took to Facebook with this announcement:
Jeannie Gaffigan — who has five children with her husband — also put out a social-media post of her own, via Instagram:
The Gaffigans are active and vocal Catholics, whereas Kimmel was raised Catholic, but doesn’t discuss it much in public. Let’s hope that healing grace and an increase of faith descend on them all.
