You’ve got to admire the creativity of Fr. Mike Verschaeve and Fr. Steve Pullis. The two Catholic priests from St. Joseph the Worker parish in Lake Orion, Michigan, kicked off the parish’s annual fundraising drive with a remake of Tim Allen’s popular Tool Time comedy.
The parish hopes to raise needed funds as part of the Archdiocese of Detroit’s annual Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) campaign. The CSA—which funds more than 100 Archdiocesan ministries, programs and services as well as six national collections of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops—has an archdiocese-wide goal of $17,839,175 for 2013.
Fr. Mike Verschaeve is pastor of St. Joseph the Worker parish, has served in the priesthood for 36 years. Fr. Steve Pullis, associate pastor, is one of the youngest priests in the Archdiocese; effective July 1, Father Steve will begin new responsibilities as priest secretary for Archbishop Vigneron.
