INNER CIRCLE Paul: The Quantum Apostle

INNER CIRCLE Paul: The Quantum Apostle 2026-01-23T17:26:08+00:00

NOTE: The posts that follow in this weekly INNER CIRCLE series will be taken from my book-in-progress, The Quantum Sayings of the Apostle Paul, to be published sometime at the end of 2026, or perhaps the early part of 2027, (depending on how long it takes to complete).
As a subscriber to my weekly INNER CIRCLE posts, you, dear reader, have an opportunity to read over my shoulder as I pen this next book in my Quantum Theology Series, which also includes The Quantum Sayings of Jesus: Decoding the Lost Gospel of Thomas, The Quantum Gospel of Mary and the Lost Gospel of Truth, and the soon-to-be-released, Quantum Theology, Volume 1, which features contributions from a variety of mystics, quantum physicists, mathematicians and theologians, and a Foreword by yours truly.

INTRODUCTION

Writing a book about the Apostle Paul isn’t as easy as it sounds. First of all, there are a lot of former Evangelical Christians who left the faith because of what they perceived as toxic theological doctrines that appear to have originated from Paul’s epistles.

Secondly, it’s difficult to talk about the Apostle Paul without spending a lot of time explaining how some of the books attributed to him are not actually written by him. How do we know which of Paul’s epistles we should take seriously, and which ones we should reject?

As if that weren’t enough of a challenge, even when we are talking about the legitimate letters of Paul, there is still the issue of explaining his argumentation style and clarifying how he often says things in the voice of an imaginary opponent in order to refute that perspective later in the text.

Not to mention the various sections of his teachings that have been mistranslated by those who felt the need to “help” the Apostle make certain theological arguments they wish he had made at the expense of textual accuracy.

So, what I’m trying to say is that, as much as I would love to just dive right into The Quantum Sayings of the Apostle Paul, I can’t really do that without first taking some time to correct the various misconceptions people may bring with them into this discussion.

That’s why the first section of this book will deal primarily with answering those various objections to Paul’s writings and correcting (or at least addressing) some of the biases people may have against him before we move on to the actual focus of this book.

That is not to say that the first part of his book will be boring or academic in nature, far from it. The Apostle Paul is a fascinating character who – for better or worse – shaped nearly everyone’s ideas about Jesus of Nazareth.

Simply put, understanding Paul is critical to understanding Christianity as we know it.

So, in the next few pages, I will be addressing a variety of objections about the Apostle Paul and doing my best to clarify his views on women, homosexuality, patriarchy, salvation, and, of course, the Christ.

Those who are critical of Paul often point out that he never met Jesus (as far as we know), and that he never seems to quote any of his teachings, and that sometimes he appears to contradict things that Jesus said in the Gospels.

Some go so far as to suggest that Paul was a Roman operative whose mission was to obscure the true teachings of Jesus, and that he is the one who shifted the focus of the early church away from the mandate to follow Jesus and onto the idea of worshipping him instead.

All of these accusations and objections to the Apostle Paul have to be addressed before we can begin to examine his statements about the Christ from a Quantum perspective.

Truth be told, when I first had the idea for this book, I thought there were only a handful of Paul’s sayings that pointed to our Oneness with the Divine and our connection with one another. However, after digging a lot deeper into it, I discovered at least 50 verses scattered throughout his letters to the early Church that spoke directly about our shared Humanity and our shared Divinity. That’s when I knew I had to write this book!

However, until we take the time to acknowledge some of these criticisms about Paul and address these various objections to his claim to be an Apostle, all of that will have to wait.

I hope you’re ready for what’s ahead. There’s a lot to discuss.
