Five days a week, we send out Daily Devotions to those who sign up [SIGN UP HERE]. Our prayer is that people will be loved and served through the Bible teaching we give away. Sometimes, people send us an email back letting us know how the Lord used the Bible teaching in their life. We really appreciate these encouraging responses and one this week was so encouraging we wanted to share it with you. For context, the Daily Devotions were addressing... Read more

Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is... Read more

“So that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar.” Matthew 23:35 In this passage Jesus issues one of his strongest indictments in the Gospels, telling the scribes and Pharisees that upon them will “come all the righteous blood shed on earth.” This verse is controversial as it brings harsh judgment upon Jewish... Read more

Last Sunday, The Trinity Church celebrated its grand opening in Scottsdale, Arizona! It was a joyful, fruitful, and wonderful day thanks to God’s grace through an amazing team of wonderful people. My personal highlight was having our youngest daughter be the first person baptized in the history of our brand new church. On Sunday, I also started a new sermon series called “Jonah: A Fishy Tale About a Faithful God”. This has led to a number of questions about how... Read more

In the past year and a half or so, I have had the great honor of traveling and learning. Rather than frequently teaching, I had the joy of doing a lot of listening. In an effort to grow as a pastor, I traveled around the country to learn from several pastors and churches that I admire. Each had wisdom where I needed to learn, and were kind enough to let me follow them around to observe and listen. As a... Read more

Imagine you were in a coma and awoke after many years. What’s the first thing you would do? Whatever that thing is, it would reveal your passions, your pleasures, and your priorities. If you picked up the phone and called a pizza company, that would tell us something about you. If you ran home and hugged your mom, that would tell us something about you. If you went back to work, that would tell us something tragic about you. You,... Read more
