It’s been another great week in Phoenix and the Driscoll family is settling in after our big move. The pool remains a big hit as the temperatures start to climb down from triple digits. We also had a night out with friends at a Diamondbacks baseball game. They won! Local pastors continue to be very welcoming, and there are some wonderful Christian leaders here. Grace and I have our weeks filled with meetings that are encouraging and life giving. On... Read more

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for and supported this ministry. We are busy working to bring back past Bible teaching, and release new Bible teaching as well. In 2007 I had the honor of preaching through the entire Bible book of Philippians, verse by verse. The sermon series, “The Rebel’s Guide to Joy,” has been offline for a while, and this week we are glad to bring it back. The series is 10 sermons long, and today we are... Read more

Building relationships in Phoenix This week was very fruitful and enjoyable by God’s grace. For starters, I was honored to be invited to spend a few hours with a network of pastors and ministry leaders from around Phoenix.       The time was spent building relationships and answering questions pastors had, mainly around the topics of friendship with your spouse, learning through experience, and spiritual fathering. I met some wonderful people who helped me better understand the Valley, and were... Read more

The Newbie Being the new person can be tough. I went to a large public school (I hope I spelled that right) from kindergarten until fifth grade. Then, I transferred to a small Catholic school complete with uniforms, nuns and what I thought was purgatory lasting from the fifth through seventh grade. My first week at the Catholic school was rough, since the only kid who really spoke to me was a fellow altar boy I got in a fight... Read more

God’s People Going to church every Sunday is something my wife Grace has done pretty much every week of her entire life. Her daddy was a pastor who planted a church before she was born, and he served as the pastor for over forty years before he retired and then passed away. She was literally born into a church that she attended her entire life until heading off to college. When God called us to plant a church, she was... Read more

Simpler Times  After a break, I’ve recently had the great joy of returning to one of my favorite things – teaching through a book of the Bible! Some people have asked why I am not releasing these new messages from Ecclesiastes in video format. The answer is pretty simple – I don’t have a video camera, a studio, an office, or a desk quite yet. Due to our transition, my entire library is boxed up for an indefinite period of... Read more

Pastor Mark here. It’s a big week at our house with the 16th birthday of our oldest son Zac, and the 23rd anniversary of our wedding. For a fun change of pace, this week’s newsletter is from my wife Grace. Happy 23rd Anniversary! August 15, 1992 was the beginning of our new life together! We started dating at age 17 in high school, were married at age 21, and had no idea the journey God had for us. We made... Read more

An Update on Our Summer This week our oldest child, Ashley, turns 18. When your kids are little, people tell you to take photos and enjoy every day because they grow up so fast. It’s true. Having little kids is wonderfully exhausting and overwhelming, but before you can even blink, they are graduated and moving on to the next season of their young adult lives. We had fun celebrating her birthday together as a family this week and are incredibly... Read more

Hillsong Interview with Pastor Brian Houston It’s been a busy few weeks for the Driscoll family, and we wanted to give you some updates, along with expressing a sincere thanks to  everyone who has prayed for us, including those who have sent encouraging emails and let us know how to pray for them.  Grace and I were also honored that Pastor Brian Houston sat down to interview us, as he did with other ministry leaders, to show at the Hillsong conferences in Sydney... Read more

We continue to enjoy family and friend time this summer. And, we hope and pray that you are doing the same. It’s amazing to consider that nothing we own will remain with us into eternity; however, the relationships we build as Christians endure forever. The kingdom of God will not include our possessions, but it will include the people we love and the joyful memories we share together. Therefore, loving and making memories with God and His people should be... Read more
