First, Students for Human Life, the pro-life club at the University of Washington will be hosting Rebecca Kiessling, an attorney and international pro-life speaker. She is passionate about addressing the “rape exception” for abortion because she was conceived in rape. Abortion was illegal at the time, but her mother almost aborted her twice. Rebecca’s life was spared and now she fights for the rights of the unborn.

Second, my friend Dr. Tom Curran of My Catholic Faith.org will participate in a KOMO Town Hall on R-74.
Here’s how YOU can help!
Dr. Tom Curran is a panel member in an upcoming KOMO TV Town Hall to discuss the Redefinition of Marriage. As the representative for the Archdiocese of Seattle, Dr. Curran will have a unique opportunity to share the teachings of the church and convince undecided voters to reject R-74.
But, he needs your help! Here’s how you can help:
1. Be an audience member:
Request tickets to the taping of the Town Hall on October 4th at 6 PM in Seattle. Simply email [email protected] and include your name, email, phone number, address, and position on R-74. Tickets are running low, so please make your request now! Tickets are limited to two per request. Audience members will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
2. Ask a question of the panel
You can submit a question on video or in writing. To ask a question on video, post a video on Youtube and email the link to [email protected]. Written questions can be submitted in the comments section of this page. Questions should be as short as possible and respectful. Please also include your name and the city where you live. Learn more here.
3. Pray!
Pray for the Holy Spirit to be with Dr. Curran and the other panel members as they defend the institution of Marriage! Pray for voters that they would reject R-74 and work to rebuild the institution of Marriage! Pray for our lawmakers that their goals would conform to God’s will for Marriage. And, pray for Catholics in the state of Washington. That we would courageously and lovingly share the truth and beauty of the Church’s teaching on Marriage.
