Blast from the Past

Blast from the Past January 4, 2013

I was in New Zealand in April 2003 for a Eucharistic conference (if you visit my archives for that month, you can read my chronicles of my travels). It turns out they made a video of one of my talks and the guy who organized the conference, John Porteous, just posted it to Youtube. It’s a bit long and the talk has changed a bit since I gave it, but it’s still fun, I reckon:

It was also made about 80 lbs ago. Man, what a porker! Your prayers that I can continue to drop weight please. I have this crazy idea about living to see more grandkids.

PS: Speaking of speaking, I will be speaking at the Newman Center at the University of Washington bright and early today for the Catholic Professionals of Seattle (Ah Ha! I *am* a Profe$$ional Catholic writer, with all the wealth, power and bathing beauties that exalted position entails!). I’ll be discussing “The Divine Genome Project: Unpacking the DNA of the Our Father”. Don’t miss it if you can.

PPS: Your parish or conference or Chesterton group or other Catholic association badly needs me to come speak for you. Take my word for it. Or just ask the people who keep inviting me back to speak for them. Go here to check out all the stuff I can talk about to serve the catechetical needs of your parish. Then drop me a line or give me a call and we’ll make it happen!
