…demonstrates a guy who is willing to risk everything for Christ. He writes:
Dear Friends,
In less than 2 weeks, I will be walking on a wire between skyscrapers 50 stories above the Windy City of Chicago … blindfolded.
The question I get asked most often is “Why?” The source of my determination and inspiration starts with Jesus. I was raised to look to God to take me through any big challenge in my life—and this is going to be a big one. My parents taught me from an early age how to walk on a wire and that all good things come from God. From that time, my faith has played an important role in my life.
As I prepare to walk on November 2nd, I ask for your support and prayers—not only for me, but also for all people facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles. And while you watch my walk, I want to challenge you to face the struggles, challenges and dreams in your own life and ask for the courage and strength to face them head-on.
The guy comes of a dynasty that has done this and other circusy things since at least the 19th Century. It’s a little like the Jongleurs de Dieu–the Jugglers of God–offering the thing they do best to Christ. God bless him and keep him safe through Christ our Lord! Amen!
