Peter: Model of the Church of Office

Over at Our Sunday Visitor, I’m starting a little series that will key off of von Balthasar’s models of the Church and take a look at four saints who give us four different ways of thinking about the Church.  First up is Peter, the Model of the Church of Office.

In the future, we will look at Mary: the Model of the Church of Discipleship; John: the Model of the Church of Contemplation; and Paul: the Model of the Church of Mission.
