What I’ll be Doing for the Next Seventeen Days

What I’ll be Doing for the Next Seventeen Days April 2, 2018

So my wife and I, being old farts, but adventurous old farts, have decided, now that the kids no longer particularly need us around, and given that I can work from literally anywhere, to embark on a Grand Adventure!

Starting today, we are getting in our van, putting a big air mattress and some sleeping bags, packing a bit of food, driving all the way around the western United States, just to see what we can see.  We’ll be heading off to Cape Flattery today, way out there on the far Northwest corner of Washington.  Then we will toodle down the Olympic Peninsula, pay our respects to Edward the Sparkle Vampire in Forks, continue down to Pacific County where we will stay the night with the Sis in Law, and then make for Cannon Beach, Haystack Rock and all things Oregonian.  We shall, of course, pause to pay our respects to the awesome mouth of the Columbia too.

We’re using a cool piece of software called Roadtrippers.com

Eventually, we will get as far south as San Francisco, head east to places like Monument Valley, Yosemite, Four Corners, maybe take in the Meteor crater, and some Anasazi ruins, then head up and over the Rockies to Colorado Springs where we can leech off of Sherry Weddell, then up through Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, back through Oregon, and home.

My plan is to post our Adventures along the way (courtesy of free wifi at McDonalds and such) as well as work on my Creed book and my novel.

Also, to gawk, perambulate and get to know folks all over this amazing country.

We leave this morning, after we have gotten everything ship shape.  Pray for us that all goes well!

And if you have any travel suggestions, let us know in the comboxes!  I’ll be scarce but will look in when I can!

Toodles!
