I was looking for a particular photo today and ran across this one. I was 33 weeks pregnant with Liam. Less than two weeks later I was hospitalized due to pre-term labor. Liam was born at 38 weeks. He was 8lbs and 3oz. The day he was born I weighed 125lbs. Days after his birth, I was down to 115lbs. Today, 2 1/2 years later I am 160lbs.
I kinda forget how scary my pregnancies were until I see photos of myself when I was pregnant. It makes me doubly thankful for God’s mercies to us. It makes me thankful for the doctors, nurses and midwives that treated me. It makes me thankful for medicines and procedures that aided in keeping me and my babies alive during those scary months. I am thankful for the prescriptions I take now which ease the symptoms of physical and mental side effects from going through this 4 times. It makes me thankful for the support I received from my family, friends and the Hyperemesis Education and Research (HER) Foundation.
God is so very good. He provides everything we need and more. If you don’t believe me, you don’t truly know who God is.
“The Lord’s unfailing love and mercy still continue, fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise.” -Lamentations 3:22-23
