You are your own worst enemy thinking you are the only one that has a problem or could behave the way you do. You tend to isolate yourself from making new friends afraid of being exposed as a fraud. You fear people will discover you’re not as smart or as accomplished as you need to be to fit in and be accepted. You fear being humiliated because of your appearance or how you may look to others around you. The fear you feel comes from the father of lies who tries to destroy who I created you to be.
I also know you are afraid to ask others for help because of the chance they may take advantage of your secret you share and expose it to friends and family. The pain of past breaches of confidence haunts your soul. So, you hide all alone unable to share that one of your children is failing in school or that you are unhappy at work or that your marriage is in chaos.
The good news is you are not alone for I am always with you. The truth is you’re like everyone else trying to hide from others protecting the same painful secrets of being exposed. However, when you live in fear you miss out on the abundant life, I desire for you. Don’t be afraid to tell your story even when others may magnify your faults and weaknesses. Don’t give anyone the power to make you feel you are not as valuable or as important as anyone else in life. (Don’t Let Anyone Hold You Hostage)
Come to me and use the wisdom I give you not to cast your pearls before swine. Don’t let anyone hinder your growth by hiding in fear from sharing your troubles with others. The truth is when you face your problems head-on and accept them, they become the door to freedom in your life and the power of my presence giving hope in every situation. Come to me and listen for my voice in the silence letting you know you are my beloved child. (You are my Child) Without the promise of my resurrected life and appearance, you are your own worst enemy.
Scripture:
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44 NIV
The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 118:6 NIV
Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. Mathew 7:6 NIV
