It was with considerable sadness that I read Chris Walton’s announcement he will no longer be posting at the venerable blog Philocrites.

A new baby and the pressures of work as editor of the UU World led to his decision to pack it in.
I considered him to be one of the sane and wise voices for this strange and lovely flower that is Unitarian Universalism. Still do, actually, and I’m glad he continues at the helm of the UU World. And I fully expect to hear more from him as time goes on.
And I want to acknowledge him in my own blogging career. Chris provided kind words and occasional pointers when I first began, and once in a while since. And I think his staring my blog at his “Guide to UU Blogs” really helped me find a readership.
Of course the Buddha was right, everything passes.
So, with a tip of the Hatlo Hat, I bid Philocrites a fond adieu…
