Forty seven people attended this retreat, most for all of it. No longer sure how many we’ve done as the Boundless Way, but many now.

So, something of a well oiled machine. Well, well oiled for a Boundless Way retreat. Our more traditional Soto relatives visit and are either appalled or appalled and delighted, depending.

We certainly bring the lots and lots of sitting part of our Soto heritage, our Zen heritage. And for those who wish to delve to the depths through the koan way, that’s very much a part of the experience.

I was deeply touched that two of my Unitarian Universalist ministerial colleagues, both old Zen hands, joined us for this retreat.

And this sesshin we initiated ten people into the precepts way.

Also our old companion on this way, Josh Bartok recieved denkai transmission, making him a Dharma Holder within the Boundless Way as well as a full priest within the Soto lineage. He donned the colored kesa and took his place with the teachers, sharing dokusan and talks.

I’m exhausted.
