Thunder, Perfect Mind (part two)

I continue to not be able to figure out how to post the YouTube video with commentary. So…

My previous post is a video including a reading of some of Thunder, Perfect Mind, a poem, a part of the collection of documents found at Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in 1945. In my opinion this collection is vastly more important than the Dead Sea Scrolls, as important as they undoubtedly are.

The poem is sometimes lost in the face of that other astonishing find within the collection, a complete text of the Gospel of Thomas. Without a doubt the Thomas text is of critical importance as a document that is contemporary with at least part of the New Testament canon (the Gospel attributed to John immediately comes to mind.) But, oh my, Thunder, Perfect Mind…

Here we hear the voice of God, or perhaps, Goddess.

I find the poem largely consonant with my liberal Buddhist inclinations and a joy to my Unitarian Universalist perspective.
