The Buddhist Unitarian Universalist

In its visitor’s corner the official Unitarian Universalist Association website has just put up a “beliefs within our faith” section that includes a nice little paragraph about Buddhisim within Unitarian Universalism. You might want to take a look at it here.
I don’t know where they come up with the four percent of UUs identify as Buddhist number. My seat of the pants and totally unscientific guess would be somewhere closer to ten percent. Whatever, the Buddhist UU connections is gradually deepening. Of that I feel sure…

It was also nice to see among the links at that site one to Skinner House Books and my introduction to Zen Buddhism, In This Very Moment. And last on the subject of Unitarian Universalist Buddhism (or, perhaps its Buddhist Unitarian Universalism) a friend recently told me the text of a pamplet I wrote for UUA publications several years ago has been printed in full at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Atlanta’s website. The pamplet, linked here, is part of a series published by the Association and is titled Faith of a Unitarian Universalist Buddhist.
