One of my favorite passages is “Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me” (Psalm 42: 7). Again, the girl shows up in my images lately. The large loons have rescued her from the depths. But they are creatures of the depths themselves. They dive deeply. Which is where they found her. She has come to the surface to face her next challenge. I’m calling her Sophia.
