A Strange World

A Strange World

I now live in a strange world
where I have passed beyond the gate
and its keepers.
The walls that used to protect me
have fallen, and the wondrous expanse
before me cannot harm me.
The singular and special place
where I received sustenance
has spread across the whole realm.
And I hunger and thirst no more.

I wrote this little meditation today. The image is of a sculpture I did a couple of years ago called “Shelter“. It is made of Brazilian soapstone. It also has a small pebble from a local ocean beach inside its shelter. You can purchase this sculpture HERE.
