1 Kings 19:9…And Elijah came to a cave, and he stayed there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him there…

Sometimes, and frequently, you have to break away from everyone and everything, and with all your courage enter into the dark cave all by yourself, face your fears, and find the truth for yourself.

After I completed this drawing it struck me that she can either be looking into the dark and scary cave from outside, or she could be inside the protection of the cave looking out into the dark. Either way, she is going to have to overcome her fears to take the unavoidable step in or out.

Transitions are always hard. But they are necessary if we want to grow, mature and become wise.

What is it that you are facing right now that demands courage? How do you have to break free to find your own path? In spite of your fears, will you take the necessary step to initiate your walk into integration and wholeness?
