Germ Warfare

Germ Warfare

When a germ is found within your body, the body’s defense mechanism will immediately begin its warfare against it. The antibodies will first:

  1. surround the germ;
  2. isolate it from the rest of the body;
  3. attempt to break down the germ;
  4. eventually move the germ into the waste system; and
  5. eject it from the body.

When you start to question the system you are within, that system will immediately recognize you as a germ and fear your potential for compromising the integrity of itself. It will:

  1. surround you with the “concerned”;
  2. begin to restrict your influence on the rest of the system;
  3. attempt to break you down;
  4. eventually move you to the outskirts of the community; and
  5. eject you from the group.

I talk with many people every day who have experienced this with the church. I have experienced it many times myself. It is not uncommon. You know what it is like to find yourself being moved further and further to the edge of the community. And when you finally leave and are completely alienated you’re not really sure if you left of your own will. Actually, you probably didn’t have a choice.

That’s okay. In fact, good for you! You don’t want to be a part of a system that prefers and protects the longevity of the system over your freedom and independence.

Would you rather eat luxuriously at the hands of your captors or starve free waiting for a miracle? When it comes down to the crunch, you have to know which one you will choose.

I published a book of cartoons that addresses issues like this one. For just $9, order Nakedpastor101: Cartoons by David Hayward“, from amazon.com, amazon.ca, amazon.de. Great for laughs and serious discussion!
