final Sophia painting “Blast”

I posted my new Sophia painting the other day titled “Blast”, but I decided that it wasn’t really complete. I added more detail and lifted some paint from her body. There! That’s more like it.

Sometimes we must walk through spiritual winters where there is very little comfort, if any. All has turned cold. What once was so alive now seems dead. Everything is blanketed by a mysterious chill. There is far more darkness than light. We shiver. Another warm body, a companion, one who truly understands and cares… that would surely help. If only there was somebody like that.

All the wise ones say the same thing: Keep walking. Don’t give up. It is a season.
