This doesn’t mean I’m for entertaining to keep us awake.

But I have to tell you that when I’m listening to someone say something that seems vitally true, existentially honest, vulnerably real… then I’m all ears.

When I’m listening to something that is Word, it is a matter of life and death and I take it all in like a hearty meal saving me from the brink of disaster.

And this hasn’t happened very often.
