freebie friday: “i think I’m gay”

freebie friday: “i think I’m gay” June 15, 2012

Jesus loves gays.

It’s been a while since I did a Freebie Friday. But I feel like giving something away today. So I decided to give away a print of my most popular cartoon from the past while: “I Think I’m Gay”. I posted it this April. It’s been very popular and has opened the door to many interesting conversations.

You might not care for the print yourself, but you might know someone who would appreciate a copy!

All you have to do is:
1. leave a comment on this post. Anything… even just a “hi”.
2. you must sign up for my newsletter

Sorry, but I won’t be responding to comments. Don’t take it personally. I appreciate every one of you. But my comments would mess up the draw.

That’s it. Only one comment per person. It is a draw. So I will end entries at midnight tonight my time (Atlantic Time… an hour east of Eastern Time). No, I don’t live in the ocean. I’m in Eastern Canada, if you’re wondering. I’ll draw the name tomorrow and announce it then.

Good luck! Tell your friends.

This reminds of your cartoon of Jesus zapping the man who wanted to be his disciple, but said he was gay, and Jesus said, “Why wait?”
That was the first thing that really got me thinking about my views of sexuality in relation to christianity.
    Thanks for sharing.

Obviously Jesus knows every sin we are going to commit. I think the real question would be concerning his adherence to it. I believe a homosexual can come to Christ for salvation. But if the Spirit of God enters them then they will begin to feel uneasy about being homosexual. They will not embrace it. Same goes with a man who is living with his girlfriend without being married. If he comes to Christ he will begin to have problems with sexual sin he is committing before the Lord who saved him.

  • @VanPastorMan, I think you’ve slightly missed the point of this. In the sense of completely missing the point of this.

  • hi πŸ™‚

    I like Lavender’s comment.

  • david sellers

there’s a whole lot of truth and love in this one.

  • This is superb! If only -yeah, that BIG IF ONLY -everyone could see this and understand and appreciate your words, your view! I just watched a program last night on PBS about teaching diversity in schools and issues on gay teen experienced in a northwestern Pennsylvania school system and with a particular “family” group that campaigns via various media sources against homosexuality under the guise of Christianity. Those people should see this and understand the Word better maybe?

  • Wren

  • Now that the contest is over, I thought I’d ask: What does the cartoon mean? What is the point?

What if we replace “gay” with any other word? Let’s replace it with words for things also prohibited for people claiming to be following Jesus, like “a compulsive liar”. What does the cartoon now mean? Replace the word with “a thief” or “a murderer”. (I’m NOT saying homosexuals are compulsive liars, thieves, or murderers. Re-read the second sentence of this paragraph.)

In the end, what does the cartoon actually mean and where is this Jesus walking with the man? To an early grave?
