The mind is very complex. I would like to think that the mind controls the emotions and that I can, through thought, govern how I act. This is not the case. My desires actually shape my thoughts. Wisdom is not cumulative. It is like manna… it needs to be acquired every day. Like the cross that must be carried and upon which we must daily die, so is wisdom. Knowledge is different.
