One of my most popular posts is about my Cabinet Door Makeover. I’ve made a few more signs using a new medium.
This is my hallway downstairs. A wall of doors!
Well I found this little beauty. Y’all remember these? I wish I would have taken a before picture in it’s true glory. It had zigzag sides that I cut off, but I can imagine it hanging proudly for years in the Shirley’s house. I snatched it up for mere pennies.
I had been looking for a sign to hang above our recording studio, but couldn’t find one affordable, so I decided to make one. Using the same techniques as the Cabinet Door, I traced and painted the lettering.
I added a little aging glaze and sanded down the sides for that rough look.
It hangs proudly over our studio.
I made another for our coat closet.
I also hung one on my Laundry door.
Now the hallway has a bit more character.
