Create a Custom Gift using Vintage Dictionary Pages

Create a Custom Gift using Vintage Dictionary Pages December 11, 2014
Gift giving is always a challenge on your budget if you’re not prepared.  Here is a simple gift that you can create for those on your list that won’t break the bank!

Today, I’m reviving an older post that will help you this holiday season.
Using old book pages or old Dictionaries, you can cut out the pages and print your own custom artwork.  I have found my books and dictionaries at Goodwill, Estate or Garage sales for just a couple of bucks.
Using a bladed cutter, trim your page with a clean edge.  I used an exacto knife.

Tape the page to a piece of printer paper and print away.
*always print a test page to make sure it is centered.*

You can use custom sayings with fun fonts from picmonkey.

You can enhance your custom image even more.  For the monocle/moustache picture, we found the page with ‘monocle’ as the index header.

We searched for ephemera for a mustache image we liked and edited the image using picmonkey to create a custom sidebar on the dictionary page.

Find inexpensive frames and you’ve got an awesome custom gift without wrecking your budget.
