It’s Friday! That means it’s time for another Rockin’ the Roundup. We’re continuing the Blog Series this week. Last week, I shared some of the best tips for Starting a Blog. Now that you have your blog up and running, here are great tips to help you design your blog to have it look the way you want.

The first thing your readers see is your header. Marianne has put together an awesome gallery of headers that are sure to inspire you! Not only does she give you great blogging tips and tutorials, but she has an ebook, too!
Once you’ve rocked your header, the next important design aspect is the sidebar. Mel has a list of plug ins that would be helpful for any blogger. She also has video tutorials that you should check out, as well.
Let’s not forget about that important blog real estate at the bottom of the page – the footer! Alysia shows us some great ideas to design a footer that works for you!
This is an awesome list of 50 EASY thing you can do to break away from the cookie cutter mold that most blog designs have. Ginny has great tips to break the mold! Not only does she offer these great tips, but she also offers to analyze your blog in a Design Consultation!

One thing that is most important are the proper sizes for social media photos. If your photos aren’t sized right – they look all fuzzy or stretched. Thanks to Attwood Digital for this graphic. This is an awesome sheet that I’ve printed out and reference often to make sure my photos are sized right.
After you salivate over her yummy recipes, check out Ashton’s video tutorial on how to make a custom blog background using PicMonkey. I use PicMonkey everyday and am borderline obsessed because it is so easy and fun to work with. Ashton’s tutorial is right on!
I love me some Becoming Martha! Sarah is so incredibly creative and one of my bookmarked sites I visit quite often. She has compiled an awesome list of sites that offer Free Social Media icons for your blog. It’s the jewelry to blog design with the finishing touches!
One awesome resource you must pin is this one. Stock images are a great tool to use not only in blog posts, but also in blog design. Kathleen has put together THE monster list of sites where you can get free photos. Be sure to check out the treasure trove of blogging tips on her site as well!
AV has put together a great list of fonts that are google friendly! Make your voice heard by using a font that you think best reflects what you want to say.
