Today, I’m sharing how to add simple touches of Spring Decor to your home, but first I have a confession. Do you decorate your home for each holiday? I have to admit that I’m not a holiday decorator. I love to decorate for Christmas, but I don’t hit each and every day holiday that passes by.

I would call myself more of a seasonal decorator.

I like to change up my home for each season. I brighten up my home for the warmer months and make it warm and cozy for the cooler seasons. So that means switching out my slipcovers from the gray back to bright white – which almost didn’t happen!

Now some of y’all know that I’m a momma to two boys.

Two boys I should have named Rowdy and Raucous. Two boys that are stinky, messy and sometimes muddy. And now, we also have a puppy.  At the end of last summer, I vowed to do away with the white slipcovers because they constantly needed to be washed, but this year I had a genius idea!

That white sheet with the stripes is a duvet cover I found on clearance for $8! I cut it in half and covered up my cushions to extend the time between washings! When it gets dirty, I can just pull that sheet off and wash the cover and it’s not such a chore to disassemble the entire couch.

I’m kinda proud of myself for that smart idea! I don’t have them often, so when I do, I just have to share!

And that middle striped pillow up there…. that’s a tea towel that I tied around an old pillow.  Again, quick, easy changes that brighten up the space. And I just love how the gray buttons match my gray pillows.

One big change we made to this room were the addition of the woven blinds.  We got these gorgeous wood shades from the wonderful people at The Shade Store.

Our windows were so plain before and the simple addition of woven shades has warmed up the room dramatically. It’s like jewelry for your windows! We went for the Standard Woven Wood Shades in the Fair Harbor-2 color.

Last week we updated our fireplace mantel by adding beadboard above to match our kitchen backsplash, and I styled it with a pop of black and hints of driftwood and tarnished silver.

Adding touches of greenery just brings Spring indoors!  And switching out the slipcovers seemed to make my Entertainment Center just stand out.

One of my favorite touches of Spring I love is my faux tulip crate.  We got this screen from an estate sale years ago. I think it was used as a gate of some kind. Don’t you think hanging it on the wall and adding a bright colored wreath is so Spring-y and farmhouse-y?

Now, Spring always means color to me – pastels pinks and baby blues, which I scattered hints of throughout my kitchen.

Aqua Ball glass jars adorn my shelf over my sink along with a fun sign from the Paper Riot company that matches perfectly.

And I couldn’t forget my little rooster – he gets a fun, baby blue bow!

The last area I added touches of Spring decor to is my dining room, which I left super simple.

I added a moss runner to my table and filled a DIY pallet box with faded green and white hydrangeas.

I continued the touches of tarnished silver in my Dining Room by displaying my favorite pieces on an old ladder.
