An Easy DIY Spring Pie Plate

An Easy DIY Spring Pie Plate

Ah, Spring is coming and I love adding elements of the new season to my decor. Today I’m sharing how I made a Spring inspired pie plate for my Kitchen island.  It was so cheap, that it literally cost me pennies!
I did a blogger fail and forgot to take pictures of the pie plate separated, but as you can see, it’s a melamine type of plate and a glass candlestick.
I used the same glue technique that I used when I made my DIY Apothecary Jars.
You just put a little dab of Super Glue Multi-Purpose Epoxy on the candlestick and center it to the back of the plate. It takes about a half hour for it to dry.
The glue dries clear and it super sturdy.
I found both at my goodwill.  The candlestick was 99 cents and the plate was 40% off the yellow sticker.  I already had the glue on hand, so the grand total was 220 pennies!!

I added a few farmhouse elements from my house.  I have tons of these little plants on hand from Ikea and they are perfect for touches of greenery here and there.

The bird salt shakers were a gift and are constantly moving around my house in different vignettes.
