Pagan Blog Art Contest! Get featured! Get prizes!

Our blogs are changing, which means we need some groovy new art as a header! Which means we’re having a contest! WooHoo!

Since the blog on the Pagan Portal seeks to represent all Pagan religions we want our header art to represent the broader Pagan community. Maybe this is by focusing on some element all Pagan religions have in common, maybe it’s by exploring their uniqueness! Get creative! What represents the greater Pagan community to you?

The top ten submissions will be featured for our readers to vote on for a week before announcing our winner on June 20th! Winner will receive a $50 Powell’s Books gift card, a year’s premium subscription to deviantArt, their art featured on the Pagan Portal blog for a year with an About The Artist page linking back to their website or online gallery.

So here’s the rules:

You must confirm your submission is your original work and not the product of anyone else. Any submission shown to be the work of another artist will not be considered.

You must agree to allow Patheos.com to use your artwork as the header image for the Pagan Portal blog for a period of ONE year (Summer Solstice 2010 to Summer Solstice 2011). You will keep all rights to your artwork.

You must submit your artwork in .JPEG format. Your submission must be 760 x 190 pixels. Larger submissions will be re-sized/cropped at Patheos discretion. Smaller submissions will not be considered.

You must submit your artwork, with your name(Pagan/artist name is fine), location and a statement that it is your original work  and that you give Patheos the right to use it for one year, to [email protected] before midnight June 12th, 2010. Any submissions received after this will not be considered.

Until our Solstice header is voted upon I’m changing the header to a different piece of Pagan art every day to represent the diversity of Pagan religions!
